OVERSEE is an AMMC-licensed corporate finance and strategic advisory firm, dedicated to structuring innovative financing solutions and guiding strategic investments across Morocco and Sub-Saharan Africa.

By 2030, OVERSEE targets EUR 500M in sustainable financing, while acting as a trusted strategic partner for corporates and investors to enter, expand, or transform their operations in Morocco and Africa.

Sonia Mezzour
Managing Partner

Sonia Mezzour is a senior financial expert with over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, project structuring, and strategic advisory across Morocco, Sub-Saharan Africa, and international markets.

A former Swiss investment banker at UBS Investment Bank, she has led mandates in infrastructure, renewable energy, industrial decarbonization, and strategic investments, mobilizing capital from development finance institutions, commercial banks, and private investors.

She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Global Energy and Environment Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Vice-President of the Moroccan Exporters Confederation (ASMEX), and as an Independent Director on a listed company, in addition to serving on several other corporate boards.

Sonia holds a Master’s degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ), conducted research at Harvard Medical School, and completed executive education at Harvard Business School. She is fluent in Arabic, French, English, German, and Spanish .

Alexis Pégard
Senior Partner

Alexis is a corporate finance professional and former private banker with a leading Swiss bank, bringing extensive experience in transaction structuring, capital raising, and strategic advisory for industrial and service companies in Morocco and Sub-Saharan Africa.

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), he is recognized for his expertise in due diligence, company valuation, and financial modelling for complex infrastructure and industrial projects. His work spans cross-border mandates, project development, and financial restructuring, with a focus on delivering tailored financing solutions for SMEs, corporates, and multinational groups.

OVERSEE’s leadership is supported by a trusted network of senior advisors and sector specialists, and collaborates with Top-Tier 1 investment banks on co-syndication when required, enabling the firm to deliver high-level execution across corporate finance, financing, and impact-driven mandates.
